Policy: To be compliant with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations, the Academic Catalog shall be published annually at a minimum. Significant updates mandated by external regulatory agencies or institutional changes may be added to the Academic Catalog in the form of addendum or new version.

Aspen University's academic year begins on September 1st annually and runs through August 31st. The Academic Catalog will be published in advance of the new Academic Year annually, with an addendum scheduled for January annually, if needed. Students will be notified via email when the Academic Catalog is updated.

The Academic Catalog is maintained by the Registrar's Office, however, many different departments are included in the creation of and changes to university policies. Those departments may include, but are not limited to: Enrollment, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Registrar's Office, Academic Advising, Academic Deans/Program Directors, and the Provost. Changes to the Academic Catalog are discussed and/or approved through University governance.

Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to provide clarification on the publication and maintenance of the Academic Catalog.
