N356 Adult Health I

Adult Health I focus on concepts relating to the care of the geriatric/older adult populations in the acute care setting with commonly occurring medical-surgical problems. The emphasis of this course is on the use of the nursing process to develop competence in providing and coordinating nursing care. It is designed to develop the student’s knowledge of safety for the healthcare team, workplace violence, civility, and just culture, culturally competent care, client teaching, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, pre, intra, and postoperative nursing, altered sensory perceptions, hematology, and alterations of the cardiac system. **Textbook is available in the classroom** Florida Course Numbering System Equivalent: NUR 3225
